Ootsubo Maki was born October 23, 1958 in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. He is a mangaka who debuted 1980 with Buchi Maru Outlaw (ぶち丸アウトロー) in Weekly Shounen Jump. In 1983 he received the 9th Chiba Tetsuyashou, Young Magazine's Rookie of the Year Award foir Kisetsuhazure Gomennasai (季節はずれでゴメンナサイ). Following his next work, the Weekly Young Sunday serialisation Mr. Cinema (Mr.シネマ) he worked on many works of various themes and genre, including the Mahjong manga Mantori (まんトリ), the Pachinko manga Pachisuro 7 (パチスロ7) and the baseball manga Bokura no Koshien (ボクらの甲子園) but is best known for the three volumes long Kennel Tokorozawa and four volumes long Odaijini! which were both adapted into Original Animation Videos.
