Amamizu Linda
Synopsis
At an abandoned school, the Handicraft Club is where everything but arts and crafts occurs. Led by club president Linda, a tight-knit group of five enjoys telling fortunes, watching various weird films, and rooting around the dilapidated building for other interesting activities. When the club finds an old occult book in a second-hand bookstore one day, they are intrigued by its contents—instructions on how to make a "doll." The group hurries to gather the materials: cloth for the skin, branches for the bones, food for the flesh, a glass shard for the voice, and finally, rainwater for the heart. Their effort is a success, albeit not how they expected. A floating, water-based form of Linda appears, seemingly a physical manifestation of one of her childhood dolls. Initially deliberating on how to destroy their creation, the group holds off on their plan and names her Amako. Although it is only a matter of time before Amako must be rid of, the club members attempt to cherish the time they have left with her. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
