Synopsis

During the Edo period, although the movement to educate commoners was growing, many unfortunately still could not read or write. Thus, daishoya, or people who made a business of reading and writing for hire, were a big help to the illiterate. Saei is one of these daishoya, but his job is not quite as simple as it seems...or as innocent...
