A Returner's Magic Should Be Special is originally a web novel series which was serialized on Joara, and later on KakaoPage, where 336 web chapters were released from September 2, 2016 to November 24, 2023. It was published in print by D&C Media under the Seed Books imprint (시드북스) from June 30, 2017 to November 29, 2019. The original web novel was published digitally in English by Radish Media from May 10, 2021 to September 12, 2022, and by Tapas Media from September 5, 2023 to February 13, 2025. The Radish release does not include the side stories.
