Meikyuu no Ou began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou on July 20, 2011. The first official volume was published on January 9, 2019 by Kodansha. The series was published in English as King of the Labyrinth by Yen Press under the Yen On imprint from January 19, 2021 to March 8, 2022.
