Ningyo no Sodatekata

Synopsis

Twenty-five-year-old Hino struggles to find the motivation to work after resigning from a company job a year prior, and the consequences of his unwillingness have landed him in a bleak situation. To find his next meal, he scavenges the shore, which was recently ravaged by a typhoon. What he finds instead is a bigger catch—an injured mermaid who has washed ashore. Despite his current predicament, Hino decides to nurse the young mermaid back to health until she can return to the ocean. As the two learn more about each other, the peculiar yet heartwarming relationship they develop may just be the colorful change Hino needs to welcome into his dull life. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
